This unit is divided into 5 topics. We will be working through this unit this 9 weeks. Each topic has an artist and painting that will be discussed, an art project, a non art project, and a work book page.

Good Character Project
Each student selected a topic of someone who has impacted the lives of others. Most topics are celebrities who have used their status to start programs that focus on many different things from foster children to wounded warriors. The 1st assignment was to turn in a picture of their topic and the logo of their organization to be displayed in the classroom. This Friday, (2-3-12) students will be turning in a letter to their selected topic. In this letter, students should include why they chose them, information about what they are doing, and a request for any printed materials that may be available about their organization. The letter can be neatly handwritten or typed. Each student should also bring a stamped, long envelope. We will put a school return address and complete the rest in class. Hopefully we will have some respond.
