Fine Arts Syllabus
7th and 9th grade students will soon have an assignment of bringing their books home for parents to review the syllabus and sign the parent consent form. This is just so you will know what they are doing and who they have chosen as their research projects, as well as due dates, deadlines, and grading procedures. Just wanted to include the parents in all the information about Fine Arts, as I am sure you will be very involved in helping your child with their projects:) I am attempting to attach the syllabus to this blog. Students have also written in all deadlines and topics that apply to them, as well as specifics. I will be posting the deadlines again for any who may have missed them. Feel free to make a copy to keep at home.
**Vocabulary**
Art Classes (7th and 9th) have a vocabulary test on Monday, August, 29th. The vocabulary words are posted on their individual class page.

Playlist Project
We use music in each of my classes as a way to concentrate on projects. Students tend to be better behaved and task oriented when able to listen to their favorite songs. This is also used as a reward for good behavior and meeting assignment deadlines.
Each student in each class has created a playlist of 10 songs of their choice. This was a class assignment and they did receive a grade for it. Before any songs can be played in class, I must have permission from all parents that they have seen the playlist and approved of the songs that have been selected by your child and their classmates. You will find everything from country, rock, and pop, to classical, gospel, and rap. The final list for each class can be found on their class page (see tab). Please email me that you approve or list the songs you wish to be removed. Those songs will be removed. As soon as I have received approval of the entire class, they will be able to listen to their music.
*Playlist should be posted by Tuesday, August 16th.
**I have attempted to weed out any that I knew were not appropriate for group listening, as well as they were instructed not to list any that may even be questionable. Because I am not aware of all the songs, please do not hesitate to remove anything that seems questionable.
***Guidelines were: Absolutely No Profanity, No Explicit Lyrics
(Which probably means no Lil' Wayne or Eminem) :)
